Chaussure Dai was born during one of the most challenging seasons of our lives. As friends and business partners, we were uninspired by what we found in traditional retail stores. Everything looked the same, and we wanted fashion that celebrated individuality rather than encouraged everyone to blend in. At the same time, life changed dramatically for both of us. Tamesha made the difficult decision to leave a marriage of more than 20 years while raising two children. I experienced the sudden loss of my husband to COVID, and just one month later, I lost my father to cancer. During our healing journeys, we discussed something unexpected: the way we dressed affected the way we felt. Expressing our creativity through bold, unique fashion helped restore confidence, joy, and a sense of identity when we needed it most. Those experiences taught us that life is precious, tomorrow is never guaranteed, and there is no better time than now to become the person you are meant to be. That realization inspired us to launch Chaussure Dai.

Today, we create more than beautiful leather booties, handbags, handmade clutches, and earrings. We create pieces for women who aren't afraid to stand apart, embrace their individuality, and wear their confidence with pride. Chaussure Dai is more than a boutique.
